About Rich PierreLouis
Richard PierreLouis is a native of Brooklyn NY. This first generation born American to Haitian parents is fluent in French Creole and the first of his 10 siblings to delve into the arts. It wasn’t easy telling his parents he was forgoing a conventional education to pursue acting. He began his career as a stand up comic in New York at the age of 18 and quickly began touring clubs and colleges around the country making a name for himself as one of the funniest new jacks in the game. Taking a hiatus from comedy in 1998, Rich's desire to establish himself as a serious and respectable actor lead him to Chicago IL where he received his Fine Arts degree from The Theater School, at the prestigious DePaul University. While living in Chicago he also trained at the world famous Second City conservatory theater. Some of his theater credits include, Julius Caesar, Hamlet, The Blue Room, Home Free, The Diary of Anne Frank and Shel Silversteins' Hamlet...As Told On The Street. Since moving to L.A in 2004 Rich returned to his stand up roots and has resurfaced as one of the funniest comics in the country, becoming a mainstay at many of the major clubs in the city. In 2006 Richard became a company member of one of the longest operating and most reputable theater company's in L.A., for over 25 years THEATER NOTE has been an ensemble of diverse theatre artists in the heart of Hollywood. In addition to the stage Rich has also been working steadily in film and television landing national campaigns for McDonald's, Honda, AXE Body Spray and Virgin Mobile. His guest starring roles include shows such as General Hospital, My Wife And Kids, and E.R., and has been a series regular on, Fox's On The Lot and the Disney Channels Hanna Montana playing Taylor Kingsford. Some film credits include, Barber Shop 2, Box Boarders, Days of Wrath, What If, The Sundance Institute Filmmakers Lab workshop the then titled We Can See Today, which later went on to won a Tony on Broadway with its new title Passing Strange. Rich's staring roles include Joel Silvers Bet Your Life staring opposite Billy Zane and the popular cult web series Jesus People, and the film Jesus People...The Movie. He is currently working on several writing projects and still cultivating his one-man show titled JUST Apart From My Life, he has his own T-Shirt line, and production company Brooklyn's Finest Entertainment Est.
